RSF Connect Update, More Information Online
We are working hard to bring high-speed internet to you. To see up-to-date information on the progress of the RSF Connect project, go to rsfconnect.race.com. Operated by RSF Connect's internet service provider Race Communications, the website provides weekly updates and a work map showing work completed, in progress and to be done. The site also provides an overview on how fiber-optic cable will be brought to homes in the community. Other information for homeowners includes services and pricing, a conduit spec sheet, and an Inquire Now button that enables members to register to receive regular communications from Race and create a customer profile. Race will contact you through the information you provide during the home installation phase, at which point a Race concierge will conduct a site survey to determine the best method of connection on your property.
A project overview was provided at the December 6, Board meeting, where members learned that HP Communications has installed more than 24 miles of conduit, despite stopped work due to recent weather conditions. Current construction focuses on the network's two trunk lines, which will bring the network into the Covenant (one from Encinitas and one from Del Mar) to the Central Office or network headquarters building. Work continues to prepare the network to go live, and some of the first homes to receive service will be properties in the northwest quadrant of the Covenant area as early as spring or summer of 2019. As fast progress is being made, homeowners on private roads are encouraged to submit license agreements as soon as possible.
