RACE POSTPONES APPOINTMENTS WITH PERSONAL CONTACT

March 24, 2020 – Race has temporarily halted all in-home installations and service calls. Service calls or work that can be completed on the outside of the home will continue with zero customer contact. Race's dispatch staff is in the process of addressing those types of scenarios and will contact those customers directly. The process will be solely based on our records from previously completed site surveys – please do not call Race at this time. 

Race is in the process of securing additional personal protective equipment to protect employees and will conduct training on proper use and care required to protect them from COVID-19. Once this process has been completed, Race will release another notice stating new procedures so that workers may resume service calls and in-home installations. 

On March 20, 2020, Race Communications implemented new safety procedures to protect its employees and customers from exposure to the COVID-19 virus. On March 22, 2020, Race placed a call 24-hours before a scheduled appointment for a potential install and learned the Rancho Santa Fe resident tested positive for COVID-19. Race verified through work-order records that no Race employee or Race contractor had contact with the resident or entered the house in the last 21 days. As customer calls continued, it was determined other residents have been around people exposed to COVID-19 or have sick people in their homes. On March 23, 2020, Race temporarily postponed in-home installations and service calls.
