Building & Planning Department COVID-19 Adaptations
The Association and its Building & Planning Department have been providing members essential functions during restrictions caused by the pandemic. Building & Planning staff continue to work efficiently to manage business while following state and county restrictions. Art Jury meetings and submittal dates are subject to change and are likely to be affected by the pandemic.
Architectural Types Regulation to be Proposed
The RSF Association Building Department is getting ready to introduce a new chapter to the Regulatory Code, Chapter 48 - Architectural Types.
Building & Planning
The community of Rancho Santa Fe is attractive and desirable in large part due to the Protective Covenant, an agreement among property owners to preserve the character of the community and uphold the quality of future architecture. The Art Jury reviews development and building applications to ensure that new projects maintain the "high artistic result" described in the Rancho Santa Fe Protective Covenant.

Exterior Lighting Regulation to be Revised
As part of an ongoing effort to update the RSF Association Regulatory Code, a revision to the Exterior Lighting Regulation will be brought to an upcoming Board meeting. Read more for the changes intended to come from this revision.
