Theresa Amaya

Theresa joined the Association in 2022 as Director of Human Resources with more than 20 years of HR experience in the luxury hotel and resort industry. She has a background in television broadcasting handling public affairs programming and FCC Compliance, and was an "on-air" personality. Teresa has volunteered for many causes and organizations, including serving as a Board Member for the Humane Society. She is a current Board Member for the San Diego Hospitality Human Resources Association and has a Bachelor's Degree in Organizational Learning and Communication from the University of New Mexico.

Theresa enjoys spending time with her husband and furry friend, being outdoors, dining and beverage pairing experiences, discovering local speakeasies, live music, traveling to visit loved ones and admiring the ocean.
