Brian Bosse joined the Rancho Santa Fe Association as Assistant General Manager in November 2023. Before joining the Association, he held key roles at the City of Santa Barbara, where he excelled in budget management, staff leadership, project execution, and community engagement. Notably, he most recently served as the Downtown Manager, overseeing a team responsible for Downtown Parking, Transportation Planning, and State Street Interim Operations. Previously, as the Waterfront Business Manager, he managed various operations, including parking, property management, accounting, and administrative services. In addition to his role in the Waterfront Business Division, Brian played a significant part in the Housing and Redevelopment Division, focusing on redevelopment, economic development, and affordable housing activities.
Brian holds a bachelor of Arts in Environmental Studies from UC Santa Barbara and a master of Science degree in Environmental Studies from California State University Fullerton. He is a member of the Municipal Management Association of Southern California and a graduate of The Centre For Organization Effectiveness' Regional Management Academy. Brian was a founding member of California Redevelopment Association's Sustainability Committee from 2008 to 2012 and was on the Board of Trustees for Leadership Santa Barbara County from 2004 to 2006 and 2010 to 2012.
When he is not working, Brian enjoys spending time with his wife and their two grown children doing anything outdoors including surfing, running, cycling and fly fishing.
